Autumn and Winter Dublin family sessions are the time of year when families come together to celebrate the start of the festive season and Christmas sessions in Dublin.
Hi, I'm Cara - a Dublin Family Photographer. You can often find me around Blackrock, Booterstown, Ballsbridge, Dunlaoghaire, Dundrum, Monkstown and Dalkey - but I travel all over Dublin and beyond!
I capture family sessions in locations outdoors or in your own home and garden. Indoor sessions can be popular for small children and babies - think baby's first Christmas around the tree!

Dublin Christmas Family Photographer - Wardrobe Tips for Winter and Autumn Festive Sessions.
I always give wardrobe tips so you can prepare for your session. The most important thing is to be comfortable, though, so nothing too fussy. Here are a few tips that work both for outdoor and indoor family sessions.
Coordinate Colors:
Coordinated colours work better then everyone matching perfectly. I think rustic outdoor tones work wonderfully for an Autumn outdoor session. Think brown, rusts, beige, forest green and khaki. You can also mix in typically autumn colours - such as burnt oranges, mustard, and red through burgandy.These colours mix well with other staples such as navy and white.
For Christmas, you might also want to think about introducing classic Christmas colours - pops of red, green, white, silver and gold.
Embrace Texture
Wool, suede, leather and fake fur also add rich textures to your photos. Bring out the Aran jumpers for Autumn and Christmas!
Denim pairs well with everything and can be dressed up or down! Although, often I say to keep super bold patterns and slogans to a minimum. Christmas family photos can look beautiful with families wearing some classic patterns too - like stripes or checks, such as tartan.

Babies don’t always love being in front of the camera, but this little one was fascinated by the shutter’s click, making it easy to capture adorable Christmas themed baby portraits.
Adding Santa hats adds a festive pop of color!
