Hi, I'm Cara of Cara Hodge Photography based in Dublin.

I love to photograph families, babies, special occasions, couples, surprise proposals and small weddings.

I've been doing more and more couples and surprise proposal sessions through 2025 and 2026 and am also specializing in small, low key micro weddings - more to follow.

Great locations in Dublin, include Howth Cliff Top walk, with stunning views over the sea and heather. Also, National Botanical Gardens with expansive Victorian green houses, Malahide Castle Gardens, Trinity College Dublin and other coastal locations.

I always give tips to prepare for your Dublin romantic photo session, from location suggestions to wardrobe tips - but nothing too fussy.

As well as couples portraits, I love to do individual portraits of teenagers and young adults: Below are pictures of my gorgeous girl taken on holiday

Teenager pictures can be very low key. Here she has on an old cotton dress from the market. Also an old hat we've had in the house for years

The trick to photographing teenagers is to make them feel comfortable in their own skin - and no pressure to perform.

I have four main photo sessions, from 45 minutes (Essence) to 2 hour Legacy, and half a day documentary. My sessions include the photo shoot, editing, and a gallery of edited photos. Albums and mounted print boxes can be purchased separately.
