I am still in France with 10 days or so before I return to Dublin.
My "In The Frame" child portrait series starts with this one. I love an emotive child portrait, particularly in timeless black & white!
The other day I did a mini family photography session in the garden (aka snapped a few pictures in under 10 mins) of my son and an antique frame.
He had fun framing himself!
Props can be a great starting point to a storytelling child portrait
Props can add a little helping hand. A gentle push in the right direction, something a child can engage with in a unique way.
We had a bit of fun. I will have to go through the best ones in Dublin
Mood. Storytelling. Gesture and expression. These are all aspects to be considered in a child & family portrait. I love black & white photography for its ability to show emotion in a picture.
