Say I Do:
Cara, Dublin Small Wedding Photographer
From wedding cake cutting to dancing into the small hours in trainers, I know that no two weddings are the same!
Hi, I'm Cara— I'm a Dublin couples photographer - capturing surprise proposals, engagements and, recently, fun filled small weddings and micro weddings. I also love to photograph families and children, so I'm drawn to people, families, children, babies interacting naturally with each other.
I love to capture timeless wedding portraits alongside completely natural, effortless documentary style moments,
You can often find me on couples sessions in Booterstown, Blackrock, Stillorgan, Dundrum, Ballsbridge, Monkstown, Dunlaoghaire and Dalkey Village - but I travel all over Dublin, and beyond, weddings are no different!
I am definitely open to unusual requests and adventures - so if you want to do a pub crawl in your wedding dress around Temple Bar or get married on a sheep farm, I'll be there!

Take a look around the other pages of my website to see the look and feel of my photos.
My wedding sessions come with a curated, edited gallery of photos that tell your wedding story. I am 1839 People Portraits award winner in 2024 and 2025

Wedding At The National Gallery Of Ireland.
Setting off from the Merrion Hotel, with a ceremony at No. 5 South Leinster Street, followed by a tour of the National Gallery of Ireland for bride and groom portraits, and then off to the Gingerman Pub for a pint of Guinness.
This Dublin small wedding day was intimate, relaxed and joyful!

Q & A
How long do you shoot for?
My wedding photography packages typically start at 4–5 hours, delivering a fully edited gallery of approximately 200 photos. For an 8-hour package, you’ll receive up to 400 images. I prioritize quality over quantity, but if a photo adds to the story, I will add it into the gallery!
I also do shorter and longer length coverage. The longer ones have a break for me to save the photos from the camera (it's a must!). Usually dinner bell is a good time to do that.
What parts of the wedding do you photograph?
I capture all the key moments of your day, from the scene-setting details and preparations to the ceremony itself. I document intimate portraits of the bride and groom, as well as the reception and evening celebrations. During the quieter moments, such as the meal, I use the time to back up your images, ensuring everything is safely stored before the festivities continue.
What is your wedding photography style?
My style is a blend of documentary storytelling and fine art wedding portraits of bride and groom, and of course, family and friends. I focus on capturing the natural flow of your day, with authentic moments that reflect its spirit. While I don’t specialize in formal group shots with large lineups, I am happy to create relaxed but traditional group portraits.
For couple portraits, I love seeking out beautiful light and stunning backdrops to create timeless and romantic images, so if you make time for an intimate portrait session, even just 20 minutes, we can get those newly wed couples portraits.
